Sr. Robotics Software Engineer

Position Overview


Kanan Park Technologies is an avant-garde startup working in the domain of cutting-edge digital technology for agricultural applications. Our solutions range from autonomous robots performing various tasks in the field from sowing to harvesting as well as state-of-the-art IoT solutions to analyse farm data and give detailed insights to the farmer about the next steps to be taken in the given crop cycle.

To achieve this vision, we are looking for experienced and passionate embedded systems engineers with the following qualifications:

Must have qualifications:

  • Willingness to learn and perform tasks in a time-bound manner

  • Ability to work in a team

  • An attitude to take ownership of the product engineering and take it to the logical conclusion

  • Bachelors/ Masters/ Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Physics, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical / Computer / Electronics Engineering and related fields

  • 3 - 5 years of proven robotics software engineering experience (open-source code showing your past work would be a plus)

  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and version control systems like Git

  • Experience with working in Agile environments and performing tasks in dedicated sprints

  • Very good software skills in C and C++ (Points of focus: Data structures and memory management)

  • Good software skills in Python and ability to set up test infrastructure using Python and Bash scripts

  • 3 -5 years of experience working with ROS and Gazebo robotic model simulation

  • Experience with autonomous driving, robotics, and drone engineering

  • Experience with robotic arm modeling, simulations, and engineering

  • Experience with localization, path-planning, and autonomous navigation of robots and drones

  • Experience with Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM)


Good to have qualifications:

  • Experience of working in industrial and agricultural robotics

  • Background in agriculture and awareness of day-to-day agriculture challenges

  • Experience with LIDAR

  • Experience with open-source image processing and signal processing platforms like OpenCV and Octave.

  • Experience with artificial intelligence concepts like Machine Learning, Deep Learning and their frameworks like Tensorflow and PyTorch

  • Experience with embedded networking (wired and wireless) for IoT applications (Bluetooth, WiFi, sub-GHz, LoRaWAN, Zigbee etc.)
